About us

Located in Bomana, Port Moresby, North East Academy (NEA) is a fully permitted private National Upper Secondary School (Certificate No. PS540/1983), officially recognized by the National Department of Education (NDoE). Established in 2019 by Mrs. Lina Baim, an accomplished educationist with a Master’s in Education, and her husband Mr. Robert Baim, Provincial Police Commander of Madang Province, NEA was founded to expand access to quality secondary education for young Papua New Guineans.

The Academy follows the Standards-Based Curriculum and prepares students for national examinations leading to the Lower and Upper Secondary School Certificates. With a strong focus on academic excellence, discipline, and inclusivity, NEA provides equal opportunities for all students, including marginalized and disadvantaged youth, equipping them to pursue higher education or meaningful careers.
